Event Permit Request Form

Permit requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please be sure to check the event calendars for the availability of the dates and facilities that you wish to request before completing your request form.  Please note: event permits issued for the Lincoln Park/Veterans Park site require a $500 mandatory donation, made payable to the Colorado Veterans Memorial Preservation Fund.

Permits are issued for the hours between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM.

Please note that permits are issued for the hours between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Please include a list of all principal speakers, agendas, props, stages, sound equipment and other items to be provided by applicant/sponsor, if available (include approx. number and size(s) of supports, standards and handles, necessary medical/sanitary facilities and other similar items). Also include proposed route of any march or parade, and plans for the orderly termination and dispersal of the proposed activity that might affect the regular flow of traffic. Permit-holders must adhere to all laws set forth by the State of Colorado, and laws set forth by the City and County of Denver. Capitol Complex and the Colorado State Capitol Building DO NOT provide any equipment (including, but not limited to: podiums, extension cords, sound equipment, flags, risers, microphones, tables or chairs) for permitted events.

Pursuant to State Capitol Buildings Group Grounds Permit Regulations 6.2, 6.3 and 8.1: to request a waiver, applicants MUST complete the “Request for Waiver of 30 Day Notification” section of the application with a detailed explanation of why a 30-day notification waiver is required.

Requests received after 4:00 pm, or any day DPA is officially closed, will be considered received as of the following business day (i.e. a permit request received at 4:09 pm Monday will be considered received Tuesday, and will be responded to by close of business Friday; a request received Saturday will be considered received Monday and responded to by close of business Thursday).
